Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)

In 2016, fresh out of university I got hired by Cinesite London to work alongside their environment generalist team. The project was Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and I helped creating the matte paintings of the buildings in the far background, set dressing and painting snow and dirt onto the CG buildings in this Manhattan scene.

The sequence was shot on an anamorphic lens which provided an interesting first professional challenge – finding ways to deal with photographic, painted and rendered events in the relation to elongated plate pixels.
